The Newest Project of Border Crossings of Albania stimulates users' access to this process, through innovative and sustainable design.The proposal takes this idea a step further, stripping these spaces of the importance, formality, or malfunction that has accompanied them over the years, to transform them into vibrant, welcoming gateways, representing our best values, manifesting nature, art and to that of beauty. Information tables on the location, functions and services are found inside territory of the Custom Points, such as toilets, security agencies, control point, customs scanners, etc. Intertwining art with nature as two of the best catalysts in the production of emotions, increases the level of visitors' experience. The gates of Albania have been revived around five main values/objectives: movement, safety, love for nature, sustainability and identity. The existing facilities bring back the traditional image of the house. The form is stylized, while the content is enriched in a long-lasting design, for a self-sustainable building, with green terraces, photovoltaic panels and artistic facades. A complex ensemble of functions and objects that through transformation has created a strong visual identity, easy to understand and intuitive to explore. The goal is to create an elegant dialogue between public and private spaces, between the formal institution and the hospitality of human design. Advertising boards are positioned along the concrete walls that frame the road to the gates, with predetermined shapes and sizes to liven up the road, avoiding chaos.
